Making Great Strides

The physical therapist had Georgia stand up today, with assistance of course. But the physical therapist was so proud of her, she said she recently had a patient with the same surgery as Georgia and he his knees buckled, he was unable to put weight on the weak side. We are so proud of her, she also moved her arm and fingers a little more today and when I tickled her feet, she wiggled her toes. This is only three days after surgery, could not ask for a better Mother's Day present than my daughter not seizing and recovering so nicely after major surgery. Sean just left to take the baby home and to return to work, my mom and mother-in-law are here to help me. I'm sad to see Conerly go but glad he is going home to his own environment and his own bed. Georgia had quite a few visitors today, the Laboys and my grandparents, a full house. My Dad also called and told me they spoke about our family this morning, they said how proud of us they are for fighting for Georgia and giving her a fighting chance at life. This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make and I pray I will never have to make another decision such as this in my life. God opened the door for me and I had to walk through. Looking back I do not know how I made three years with Georgia seizing and doctor after doctor telling me that she is too complicated a case or to let nature take its course. I think about that poem, Footprints in he Sand, when you only saw one set of footprints it was then that I was carrying you. What am amazing Lord and Savior we serve. I came across this verse in Nehemiah last night, "For this day is holy unto the Lord, neither be he sorry; for the joy of your Lord is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10 Please keep praying for Georgia and for us. Blessings and Happy Mother's Day, it's not always easy but it is so worth it when you see your child look at you and smile and you know they know that you love them.
